'Real Housewives Of New York' Star Eboni K. Williams Pregnant With First Daughter, Will Be A Single Mother By Choice
The world is getting ready for a "Real Baby of New York."
Eboni K. Williams, who made history as the first Black cast member on the 'Real Housewives of New York,' has written multiple books and hosts 'The Grio News With Eboni Williams,' is pregnant.
Some time after departing from the show, the former 'RHONY' personality is preparing to be a single mother by choice.
Her pregnancy has been kept well underwraps, and her due date is reportedly around August 16th.
'PEOPLE' initially broke the news, where the star described her daughter as her "remarkable miracle."
Williams had frozen her eggs and had been using IVF treatments in order to get pregnant. She told the outlet that she "did one egg retrieval at 34 years old, not really having a clear intention on if I would use those eggs or when I would use the eggs. And six years later, that one egg retrieval led to one genetically normal embryo which led to one successful embryo transfer and — one pregnancy later — I'll soon have, God willing, one beautifully healthy baby girl. So it really does feel like fate."
Now 40-years-old and expecting, Williams revealed that she never knew if she was going to use the frozen eggs. Having children was not always a part of the life that she saw for herself. "I want to say that with conviction and clarity; I was not the little girl that grew up fantasizing about having kids and what I would name them and all of that," she shared.
However, it was time spent contemplating life during the pandemic that gave her newfound desires and ambitions. "It was the pandemic and having some real existential conversations within my own self about legacy and life and love and the different ways in which I really wanted to explore family," she said.
