Maitland Ward, who played Trina McGee's college friend in the coming-of-age sitcom "Boy Meets World," shared her thoughts on her co-star's pregnancy.

On Tuesday, Ward was interviewed by TMZ on the streets of Los Angeles and asked about her thoughts on McGee getting pregnant again at age 54, with her fourth child.

"I hate to say it, but my first thought was, 'Is this April Fools' Day? Wait, what?' But I read the post and stuff and I hope that it's not like a publicity stunt or anything. I hope not," she said.

"Because I haven't seen any verification or information. I would think in the first days, she's trying to be safe and everything. So I give her her space and all that. But I hope that as it goes along, she will show us her journey because it's a pretty big deal. I mean, I think that would help a lot of women with fertility issues."

While Maitland felt a bit wary of her former co-star's pregnancy in her 50s because it's generally difficult for women to conceive at this age, she was stoked about the news, especially since she was there when Trina got pregnant with her first three kids while they were working on the sitcom.

"I have to say that Trina and I have always had a great relationship, and she's always been supportive of me, and I'm supportive of her in her pregnancy," she added.

As the brief interview ended, the 47-year-old actress-model said seeing McGee's pregnancy journey would be amazing.

McGee announced her pregnancy on social media on Monday with a text post on a red background, saying, "At the tender age of 54, I have found myself pregnant. Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you."

"Gonna sign off social media for a bit. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes in advance," she captioned her post.

Prior to her official pregnancy announcement, she posted a photo of her wearing a beach outfit that showed off a bit of her tummy.

When an Instagram user commented about her bump, she confirmed it by replying, "Yup."

Trina has two children from ex-husband Courtland Davis named Ramia and Langston, and another child from another previous relationship, Ezra.

She is currently married to and pregnant with her current husband, Marcello Thedford.
