Hunter Biden's Wife Melissa Channels Melania Trump's 'Cool Girl' Attitude During First Son's Gun Trial
Hunter Biden's wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, has been likened to Melania Trump as she accompanied President Joe Biden's son to his federal gun trial this week.
While Melania stayed far away from her husband Donald Trump's recent hush-money trial, Melissa has been by the first son's side since the start of his trial Tuesday. Hunter faces three felony charges related to his alleged illegal purchase and possession of a firearm in 2018 while he was a drug user.
Photos of Hunter and his wife from his trial showed Melissa looking confident as she held her husband's hand while entering the Delaware courthouse.
Body language expert Patti Wood suggested to The U.S. Sun that Melissa's facial expression and gestures reminded her of Melania's "cool girl" attitude when she's with the former president.
"She's doing a bit of that Melania 'cool girl' scowl as she walks," Wood suggested. "He's showing more anxiety than she is, but she has that cool girl, 'I'm cooler than this' attitude."
Wood pointed to the way Melissa held Hunter's hand up as if she was "pulling him upward" as a sign of her thought process.
"They're having a moment where he's like, 'I'm so sad, but I'm glad you're here with me.' Her body language is just, 'Let's get going. We gotta move,'" the expert claimed.
Wood also suggested that the way Melissa's lips were pulled back was "very similar" to Melania's.
According to the body language expert, Melissa allegedly used sunglasses, her hairstyle and other style choices to strengthen her "cool façade of protection."
"It all gives the appearance of a cover," Wood suggested. "It's a costume, like 'I am cool and calm in these circumstances."
Melissa tied the knot with President Biden's son in 2019. They welcomed a son, Beau Biden IV., named after his late older brother.
Hunter has pleaded not guilty to charges of illegally purchasing and possessing a gun while abusing or being addicted to drugs.
Meanwhile, Melania was a no-show throughout Trump's recently concluded New York hush-money trial, where he was found guilty of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
On Tuesday, Melania was photographed in public for the first time since the GOP 2024 presidential candidate's conviction.
Photos published by the New York Post showed the former first lady looking chic and cool in a gold-brown jumpsuit, matching purse and sunglasses as she exited Trump Tower in New York City.
Melania was accompanied by her and Trump's only child, son Barron Trump, who wore a blue suit and white button-down shirt.
