‘Jersey Shore's’ Angelina Pivarnick Charged With Assault, Resisting Arrest And Obstruction, But Blames OTC Meds
'Jersey Shore' star Angelina Pivarnick is facing various criminal charges after an incident took place this weekend at her New Jersey residence.
The former TV reality show cast member was charged in a municipal summons obtained by 'TMZ,' which includes simple assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law, and resisting arrest. Despite the lengthy list of accusations, Pivarnick's lawyer claims her charges has been blown out of proportion, per the media outlet.
Freehold Township has reportedly been reluctant to release any details regarding the aforementioned charges, as authorities told 'TMZ' that the nature of what happened at her residence will remain under wraps.
The 37-year-old's attorney, James Leonard, maintains that the situation was minor, yet "exacerbated" by her bad reaction to over the counter meds. Leonard says they're seeking to dissolve the issue in a smooth manner.
"This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was exacerbated by an adverse reaction to prescribed over-the-counter medication. We look forward to resolving this matter favorably and putting it behind us," Leonard stated, per TMZ. "Angelina is home resting and has no further comment at this time."
The reality TV alum starred on the hit MTV series 'Jersey Shore' through the first two seasons in 2009 and 2010 before appearing as a guest in seasons five and six in 2012.
She also played as a guest in MTV's 'When I Was 17,' 'Couples Therapy,' and 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' dating back to 2018.
The media outlet reported that her fiancé, Vinny Tortorella, doesn't seem to be involved in any of the charges at this time. Pivarnick has an upcoming court date scheduled in July.
