Marlon Wayans Explains Why He'd Rather 'Netflix & Chill' Than Enjoy Intimacy: 'Ain't About This Circus Love'
Marlon Wayans revealed that he now favors a more straightforward approach to physical intimacy in a recent interview.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club, published on Thursday, the actor-comedian candidly discussed his personal intimacy life, admitting that as he has aged, he's less interested in acrobatic lovemaking.
"I got a bulging disk, and I was just like, I ain't about this circus love," he said. "I ain't doing all that."
Wayans shared the same opinion in a recent interview with 'PEOPLE' and how he values a more simplistic approach to intimacy. "I don't need to swing from ceilings and twist up nothing, because after we're done, I can just go right to sleep," he confessed.
It seems the 'Little Man' actor isn't interested in anything resembling scenes from "50 Shades of Grey" or even his own parody film, "50 Shades of Black," opting instead for a more down-to-earth approach while in the bedroom.
The 'Good Grief' comic also keeps his romantic life uncomplicated. He admits he's not actively seeking a relationship and has never felt a strong urge to marry, despite having three children from past relationships.
However, the 51-year-old isn't ruling out the possibility entirely. He remains open to the idea of marriage — if he meets the right person — leaving the door slightly ajar for potential future commitment.
Wayans recently disclosed to 'The New York Times' that one reason he never married was due to concerns about how a spouse might impact his relationship with his mother Elvira Altheia.
"I never got married, because I never wanted my mother to be jealous of a woman," he said. "I never wanted my mother to feel second to any woman."
The New York native emotionally recounted a touching moment with his mother before her death in 2020 at the age of 81. He revealed that on her deathbed, he expressed to her, "I never got married because I always wanted you to be my No. 1 girl." Those were his final words to her, a heartfelt sentiment he wanted her to carry with her to heaven.
