Biden Awkwardly Freezes Mid-Sit After Jill Warns Him To Stand During D-Day Ceremony
President Joe Biden's "awkward" move during a D-Day commemoration ceremony in Normandy, France, Thursday is going viral amid growing concerns about his mental acuity.
In a video circulating on X, formerly Twitter, Biden could be seen squatting down to sit before awkwardly freezing and holding his position as other dignitaries next to him on stage remained standing.
The clip began with Biden shaking hands and having a quick exchange with French President Emmanuel Macron as their respective wives, Brigitte Macron and Dr. Jill Biden, look on.
After the greeting, Jill and the Macrons remained standing and looked forward, while Biden appeared to try to sit down.

Biden could be seen bending his knees as if preparing to sit and reaching behind, seemingly looking for a chair.
However, the president stopped and hovered awkwardly over his chair right as his wife covered her mouth.
The clip was shared on X by the Republican National Committee Research account with the caption: "Awkward."
It immediately sparked speculation about Biden's behavior.

While it is unclear if Dr. Biden said anything to her husband at that moment, some users suggested that the first lady may have told President Biden to remain upright -- which then led to his awkward move of freezing mid-sit.
Others speculated that it may be another sign that the 81-year-old president, the oldest to ever hold the position in U.S. history, is not as healthy as he claims to be.
"He doesn't know where he is or why he is there," one X user claimed of Biden.
"If he's struggling with the decision to sit or stand, how can we expect him to take on more serious issues[?]" another wrote.
Another video from the ceremony showed Biden with his eyes closed, sparking rumors that he fell asleep in the middle of the event.
In other clips, Biden appeared to forget where his seat was and was seemingly pulled by his wife away from the ceremony while President Macron stayed behind to greet D-Day veterans.
The ceremony, which was held to mark the 80th anniversary of the June 6, 1944, invasion that helped bring about the end of World War II, came days after the Wall Street Journal published a report that declared Biden was showing "signs of slipping" during White House meetings.
Among the worrying observations mentioned in the report were Biden allegedly struggling to remember key details about his policy and closing his eyes for long intervals.
While the White House dismissed the report as partisan politics, it triggered an increase in calls for Biden to take a mental competency test and prove he's fit for the job.
Biden was declared "healthy" and "fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency" by White House physician Kevin O'Connor after his annual physical in February. However, the exam did not include a cognitive test.
According to the New York Post, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted at the time that Biden did not undergo a cognitive test because his doctors felt it was unnecessary.
