Tracy Morgan looked back and reflected on the car accident that nearly killed him in June 2014.

In an exclusive interview with People, the comedian-actor remembered his co-celebrity and mentor, James McNair, who was in the vehicle with him the night of the accident that changed their lives. He also left a message for the driver who reportedly caused the accident.

"Today is 10 years since our fateful accident, and I want to say to everyone, who was in the van with me that night, 'I love you.' And we miss you, Uncle Jimmy Mack [McNair], and God bless your family. And to the driver that night and his family, me and my comrades forgive you," the 55-year-old actor said.

"Praise God, He preserved you," said someone else.

"Amen. Thank goodness you're here to tell your story," wrote a different IG user.

Morgan and McNair got into an accident in Cranbury, New Jersey, on June 7, 2014, when a Walmart tractor-trailer crashed into the former's chauffeured limousine.

Raw footage obtained by The Wall Street Journal at the time showed several wrecked vehicles on the scene. Morgan's limousine also appeared to be flipped to the side. A black body bag was also seen on the road.

The crash broke the "First Sunday" star's leg and left him in a coma for two weeks. McNair unfortunately died from the accident while two other passengers, Ardley Fuqua of Jersey City and Jeffrey Millea of Shelton, Connecticut, were severely injured.

After waking up from his coma, Morgan went to rehab for physical therapy to relearn how to speak and walk. He was also in a wheelchair for five months.

In 2016, the truck driver, Kevin Roper, "pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and four aggravated assault charges," according to My Central Jersey.
