Queen Camilla gave an update on King Charles' condition.

During the second annual Queen's Reading Room Literary Festival at Hampton Court in Surrey, the Queen spoke with author Lee Child about the King's recovery, according to The Sun.

Camilla reportedly revealed to him that her husband "is doing fine except he won't slow down and won't do what he's told."

Child said King Charles "sounds like a typical husband."

Despite undergoing cancer treatment and amid the advice to slow down, His Majesty has a full schedule ahead of him.

This includes his attendance at the Trooping the Colour birthday parade in London on Saturday, an appearance at the King's Foundation Awards at St. James' Place in London next week and a garden party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse during Scotland week, among many others.

Just last week, the King and Prince William gave speeches and met with veterans at the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Portsmouth.

However, Charles' appearance at the event was reportedly reduced by 45 minutes, per medical advice. He was rushed to a hospital in London a day before.

The King is also set to have a state visit from the Emperor and Empress of Japan by the end of June. It will reportedly be followed by a two or three-week tour of Australia in October.

Since revealing His Majesty's cancer diagnosis in January, Buckingham Palace only gave an update on his condition in late April.

"His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis," the press release read.

"As the first anniversary of The Coronation approaches, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year."
