The wife of Tory Lanez has filed for divorce less than one year of holy matrimony.

The Grammy Award winner married nearly one year ago to Raina Chassagne. The two exchanged vows on June 25, 2023.

According to 'TMZ,' Chassagne citied irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Two months after they wed, Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was arrested for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot. The shooting took place back in 2020, but it was not until after his marriage that Lanez began his ten-year prison sentence.

Megan Thee Stallion did not appear in court for the trial of Lanez according to 'PEOPLE.' "I cannot bring myself back to being in the same room with Tory," she said via statement. After a moving speech discussing her lasting trauma, the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper said "His crime warrants the full weight of the law."

The marriage between Lanez, 31, and Chassagne was not known to the public at this time. His marital status was not revealed until Lanez's bail hearing in September 2023.

The relationship timeline of Chassagne and Lanez is unclear, but they are parents to a seven year old son named Kai. According to 'The Jasmine Brand,' Megan Thee Stallion, 29, has stated that she and Lanez were in a relationship when Lanez shot her. 

Chassagne, who has reportedly brought their son Kail to visit his father during his prison sentence, is seeking full legal and physical custody of their son in the divorce.

Per 'Page Six,' Kai enjoyed quality time with Lanez two weekends in a row in January.

Lanez's son's visit included drawing, eating vending machine snacks and sitting at a table playing games, a member of Lanez's legal team told 'TMZ' at the time. The father and son duo even got to hug.
