Fans are in shambles after YouTube internet personality Comicstorian, born Ben Potter, died.

He was 40.

His wife, Nathalie Potter, made the announcement via Twitter, now known as X, informing fans of his death, referring to him as their "very own superhero" who often reassured his loved ones whenever they needed it.

"Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband, Ben Potter, passed away in an unfortunate accident," Potter penned in the caption on Monday.

"To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for. As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and genuine," she wrote. "He was someone who would listen and make time for his loved ones."

"The team and I want to keep that going," she continued. "To honor him by continuing to tell great stories by great people, as well as to keep the memory of our very own superhero alive."

"We supported each other on everything we wanted to do and I'm not about to stop now," Nathalie concluded.

In just 24 hours, the tweet has been viewed over 9.9M times and has received over 100K likes.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry, Nathalie. Ben was a great one," one X user said of the comic enthusiast. "Incredibly heartbreaking, Comicstorian was an absolutely incredible YouTuber that pioneered so much and got so many people into reading comics," content creators, Heavy Spoilers, replied. "Devastating news. Rest in peace."

Potter garnered over three million subscribers on YouTube. The channel, headlined with the tag "We Create Audio Dramas of Comic Books," was launched in 2014.

The late content creator collected a jaw-dropping 1,089,163,012 views to-date, per YouTube.
