Amid reports of King Charles and Kate Middleton's battles with cancer, speculation arose surrounding the potential involvement of Princess William and Harry's cousins, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, as working members of the royal family, even if only temporarily.

As the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who have faced public scrutiny, the two have never held senior royal positions. Grayce McCormick, a public relations expert and founder of Lightfinder Public Relations, suggested that such a move could exacerbate tensions within the royal family.

"The emergence of new working royals may fuel comparisons and competition within the royal family," McCormick claimed to 'The Mirror'. "It could potentially lead to internal tensions or conflicts that could damage the monarchy's public image."

Another public relations professional echoed similar sentiments, highlighting that their connection to Prince Andrew, 64, could potentially spark controversy.

Luana Ribeira, speaking to GB News and cited by 'Marie Claire,' pointed out the "Prince Andrew factor" concerning Beatrice, 35, and Eugenie, alluding to their father's sexual assault allegations and association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. Ribeira acknowledged that while the sisters cannot be blamed for their father's actions, their current approach of maintaining a low profile and focusing on their lives seems prudent.

The attendance of the princesses at Buckingham Palace's Sovereign's Garden Party last month fueled speculations. However, experts have previously dismissed the rumors, stating that Beatrice and Eugenie have no intention of taking on additional royal duties.

Both women are already occupied with their respective careers; Beatrice holds the position of vice president of strategic partnerships at tech firm Afiniti, while Eugenie, 34, serves as the director of the art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Princess Beatrice is also a mother to stepson Christopher "Wolfie" Woolf and daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Eugenie is the mother of sons August Philip Hawke Brooksbank and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank.
