Keyshia Ka’Oir Defends Gucci Mane After Fans Call His Label 1017 'Cursed' After Enchanting's Death
Keyshia Ka'Oir, the wife of Gucci Mane, is defending her husband after Enchanting died on Tuesday.
She was 26.
Reports suggest the rapper was placed on life support following a suspected drug overdose, although her official cause of death was not released. Enchanting, real name Channing Nicole Larry, was once part of Gucci Mane's 1017 label.

In the wake of Enchanting's death, hip-hop fans began to wonder why Gucci Mane wasn't more involved with the young artist. Some have even voiced concerns about a perceived pattern of questionable practices and a suspected "curse" regarding artists under his management, citing repeated instances of tragic deaths or legal troubles after signing with him.
"So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting," Gucci Mane, real name Radric Delantic Davis, posted online.
Ka'Oir rushed to his defense, urging critics to refrain from blaming him.

"Leave my husband alone!" Ka'Oir responded to the comments. "He signs these artist to help them & give them a better life! I wish it wasn't like this ! Chant we love you baby girl ! RIH."
Some of Gucci Mane's other artists have also either died or experienced severe legal troubles. According to 'XXL,' Hotboy Wes was arrested for roberry in Texas in January 2022. A few months later, Pooh Shiesty plead guilty to a firearm conspiracy charge and was sentenced to over five years in prison. In May, Foogiano was sentenced to five years in prison, Big Scarr died in December 2022 after an accidental prescription drug overdose, and other instances have seemingly raised concerns.
While details surrounding Enchanting's death await confirmation from an autopsy, her team disclosed her cause of death was an "overdose."
According to representatives, Enchanting had been experiencing "withdrawals" in the days leading up to her hospitalization and subsequent critical condition.
"She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best, and I did everything I could to help her, she tried," Enchanting's rep shared with The Shade Room.
Enchanting's sister Kayy Jayy shared a heartfelt tribute on X, expressing her love for her sister with a broken heart emoji.
