Sean "Diddy" Combs allegedly offered to pay $1 million for the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight months before the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed the rapper and injured the Death Row Records co-founder.

The claim came from Greg Kading, a retired LAPD detective who was part of the investigations into the murders of Shakur and Christopher Wallace, also known as Biggie Smalls and the Notorious B.I.G.

Speaking to New York Magazine, Kading said Duane "Keefe D" Davis -- who was arrested last year and charged in connection with Shakur's murder -- told him and other investigators back in 2009 that Combs allegedly ordered hits on the rapper-actor and his manager.

Combs has not publicly addressed the new report, but he has repeatedly denied claims that he had some involvement in Tupac's death.

According to the retired cop, Davis claimed Combs allegedly told him and his fellow Crip gangsters in a hotel room in 1995 that he wanted "them dudes' heads," referring to Tupac and Knight.

Davis, a former leader of the South Side Crips in Compton, California, also alleged that Combs later told him during a lunch meeting that he would pay $1 million for the hits. Davis allegedly promised to get the job done.

However, Kading said Davis denied that Shakur's killing was a murder for hire and insisted that he, his nephew Orlando Anderson, and their Crip associates were in Las Vegas on the night the rapper was killed in September 1996 just to watch Mike Tyson.

Davis claimed things took a turn after Tyson's match when Tupac and a crew of Bloods allegedly attacked Anderson.

One of the Blood gangsters allegedly recognized Davis' nephew as "the Crip who had tried to steal his diamond-studded Death Row necklace," the report said. At the time, Combs allegedly was offering cash for one of the chains.

The alleged attack on his nephew made the situation "ominously personal" for Davis, as he indicated in his 2019 memoir, "Compton Street Legend."

Davis allegedly obtained a gun from Eric "Von Zip" Martin -- an East Coast drug dealer with purported ties to Combs -- and he and his crew waited for Shakur to show up at Club 662, where he was supposed to perform that night.

When Shakur didn't appear, Davis, Anderson, and two associates eventually left in their car.

As they were driving back, Davis saw Shakur leaning out of the passenger side window of a car that was being driven by Knight, according to Kading.

Davis claimed that he handed the gun to his nephew, who then allegedly fired the gun through the window, hitting Shakur four times. The rapper would succumb to his injuries six days later.

Knight received minor injuries after being grazed in the head by a bullet fragment.

Davis also made the allegations against Combs in the documentary "Murder Rap" in 2016

At the time, the Bad Boy Records founder dismissed the claims as "nonsense" during a "Breakfast Club" interview.

"We don't talk about things that are nonsense. We don't even entertain nonsense," Combs said.

Davis is scheduled to go to trial Nov. 4. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon with a gang enhancement.

Combs has been facing his own legal woes after he was slapped with several sexual assault lawsuits, and his homes were raided by federal agents as part of a sex trafficking investigation.

Combs has vehemently denied all allegations against him.

The hip-hop mogul has not been charged or arrested as of this writing.
