Kim Kardashian's birthday with her kids was not her favorite maternal moment.

In a stark contrast to the episode of 'The Kardashians' where Kim celebrated her birthday at an intimate dinner party, her actual birthday, featured on this week's episode of the show, was far less serene.

Instead of a day dedicated to her own enjoyment, Kim spent it fulfilling the whims of her children, an experience she candidly described as "torture."

Responding to her mother Kris Jenner's inquiry about her birthday, Kim detailed her frustration. "I thought on my birthday, I would have a day to myself. I was stuck doing everything that everyone else wanted to do."

The SKIMS founder complained that she was made to spend the day watching YouTube unboxing videos, participating in a FIFA tournament, and visiting Color Me Mine. The reality TV star joked, "You should see the ugly thing I made."

In the past few episodes of the show, Kim expressed a need to make a change when it comes to motherhood.

"I need to sit my kids down and be like, 'This isn't Mother's Day. Like this is my day. Do you think a mom wants to go to Color Me Mine one more time? On her birthday? Whose birthday is it? You know it was torture. Just make me breakfast. That's a great birthday."

Despite her grievances, Kim displayed a nuanced understanding of her role as a mother and the sacrifices they make in a confessional.

"I think that we've all, as moms, been through some days where we don't want to be doing what we're doing, but we do it for our kids, so come on Kim, suck it up and do a little Color Me Mine," she said.

During the same episode, Kim expressed a desire for more structure in her household, aiming to emulate her sister Khloe's stricter parenting style.

She admitted in another confessional, "I'd say I'm like half of a Khloé parenter and half of a Kourtney parenter. Kourtney is like, 'It's all love, do what you want,' you know, but then I also get Khloé, and I get that order, but it's difficult for me to be a really strict parent."
