Billie Eilish Reveals 'The Most Frustrating Part' Of Fame: 'You Can't Defend Or Explain Yourself'
In a candid interview with Lana Del Rey for 'Interview Magazine,' pop sensation Billie Eilish opened up about the profound challenges of fame.
Eilish revealed the inability to defend herself against misunderstandings is one of the more difficult aspects of stardom, in addition to feeling overwhelmed by constant scrutiny.
"The thing that's been frustrating and gives me a lot of anxiety is the feeling of needing to explain myself all the time," she said. "There's so many difficult parts about fame, but one of the most frustrating things is that you can't defend or explain yourself."

Despite her massive success, Eilish, 22, bemoans the toll of constant speculation. "My want and need to explain myself, I have found to be extremely damaging to my life and my sense of self," she admitted.
Eilish's comments resonate deeply in light of a recent incident where she found herself unfairly targeted by misinterpretations. One such instance arose when she appeared to make a shady comment about Taylor Swift during an interview on 'Stationhead' in May. The Los Angeles native called 3-hour concerts "literally psychotic," causing Swifties to assume she was referring to Swift.
