He was 71.

Born and raised in New York City, he found his passion for comedy early on and began performing stand-up routines in the vibrant comedy clubs of NYC. According to 'The Hollywood Reporter,' he met Jerry Seinfeld at The Comic Strip — a comedy club at which he was a regular.
After their meeting, he appeared in 'Seinfeld,' the series that helped redefined television comedy, bringing his unique comedic timing and flair to various memorable episodes. His roles in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' and 'Mad About You' further cemented his status as a versatile actor capable of delivering laughs in different comedic settings.
