OnlyFans is the most influential brand in America in 2024, according to a new study.

The subscription-based social media platform emerged as the company with the most influential branding from a list of over 200 of the world's largest brands, which also included Apple, Starbucks and Amazon, Digital Silk reported.

The web design company ranked the brands' logos based on the number of Google searches they received over the past 12 months.

Digital Silk searched for the brand name paired with the words "logo," "brand" and "branding" to determine the top 20 brands in the U.S. in terms of logo and branding.

The brands that didn't make the top 10 were Walmart, Google, NFL, X (formerly Twitter), Target, NBA, "Roblox," Pepsi, FedEx and Disney.

Here are the 10 most influential brands in the U.S. for 2024 based on the study.

10. Jordan - 77,897 average combined monthly searches

Launched in 1997 by Michael Jordan and Nike as an official sub-brand of the athletic footwear and apparel company, the Jordan brand has become a behemoth in the sneaker game, bringing in a whopping $5.1 billion in 2022 alone, according to Front Office Sports.

Jordan sneakers' enduring popularity have helped the basketball legend achieve billionaire status, along with his other business ventures.

9. Apple - 88,427

Apple's iconic bitten apple logo earned the tech giant the ninth spot on this list.

The iPhone maker, co-founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1976, recently regained its title of the world's most valuable company after its market valuation climbed to $3.29 trillion, Reuters reported.

Apple has maintained its dominant position in the smartphone industry over the past several years. In 2023, its phones took the top seven spots on Counterpoint Research's global top 10 best-selling smartphones.

8. Amazon - 93,305

Amazon ranked eighth after its logo and branding averaged 93,305 combined monthly searches over the past year.

The Jeff Bezos-founded company has evolved from an online marketplace for books to an online platform that sells almost everything.

Now, the company has an estimated market cap of $1.9 trillion, and its subscription service Amazon Prime boasts over 230 million members.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of athletic footwear and apparel, Nike's "Swoosh" logo can be seen on almost every sporting event on television, and its "Just do it" slogan is just as iconic.

Nike has been endorsed by some of the biggest stars in the sports world, including Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods and LeBron James.

6. Facebook - 95,052

Facebook is the sixth most influential brand in America, according to Digital Silk, with its logo and branding being searched an average of 95,052 times a month.

The Mark Zuckerberg co-founded website remains the most popular social media platform globally based on monthly active users.

As of April 2024, Facebook is used by an average of 3.065 billion people per month, according to Statista.

5. TikTok - 96,194

TikTok is one of the two youngest companies on this list, but it has quickly overtaken many other social media platforms in terms of popularity since it was launched in 2016.

The video-sharing app is used by 170 million people in the U.S. and 7 million businesses as of 2024, according to CNN.

However, the Chinese-owned platform faces a potential nationwide ban after President Joe Biden signed a bill in April that forces owner ByteDance to sell it by January 2025.

4. Starbucks - 99,247

Starbucks' green and white siren logo received an average of 99,247 monthly Google searches over the past 12 months, putting the coffeehouse chain in fourth place.

Starbucks has over 38,000 locations across 86 countries. Of this figure, 17,000 are in the U.S.

3. YouTube - 107,389

Ranking third among the most influential brands in the U.S., YouTube is the second most popular social media platform in the world as of April, boasting 2.5 billion monthly active users.

The videos on the website cover practically every niche or topic under the sun, from tech and finance to food, beauty and music.

2. Instagram - 145,810

Instagram is the brand with the second most influential branding on the list after raking in 145,810 average combined monthly searches.

The photo-sharing app has around 2 billion monthly active users and is used by more than 2 million businesses to reach their customers.

1. OnlyFans - 147,736

Topping the list of most influential brands in the U.S. is OnlyFans, which has become known for its adult content.

Since it was launched in 2016, many celebrities have joined OnlyFans and uploaded racy content for paying subscribers, including Drea de Matteo, Denise Richards, her daughter Sami Sheen, Bella Thorne, Tyga and Trisha Paytas.

According to SimilarWeb, the subscription service has an average of 420 million monthly active users.
