Kendrick Lamar dressed similarly to the late Tupac Shakur during his concert in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, the "United In Grief" artist held his "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends" show at Kia Forum, where he reportedly performed four of his five Drake diss tracks, according to Business Insider.

Per TMZ, he reportedly "took it upon himself to defend" Tupac's legacy after Drake used an AI version of his voice in his diss track against him. Not only that, he also wore clothes similar to the late rapper's outfit at the 1994 Source Awards.

The "Backseat Freestyle" rapper wore a red hooded jacket over a white shirt and accessorized it with a massive diamond cross necklace.

Ben Baller, the jeweler who made his neckpiece, told TMZ that Lamar reached out to him last week to have a king's cross necklace made.

The huge diamond crucifix Kendrick wore reportedly cost $600,000 since it featured 73 carats of princess cut and channel set baguette diamonds in a ½ kilo of 18k white gold chain.

His other bling, a 42-carat Cuban link chain, reportedly cost $150,000. This means the 37-year-old rapper was wearing $750,000 worth of bling during his sold-out one-off show.

Another tweet posted on X showed another angle of Lamar's "Pop Out" look and was captioned: "Kendrick Lamar pays homage to Tupac's outfit from the 1994 Source Awards tonight during 'The Pop Out' concert in LA."

Many social media users quickly shared their thoughts and reactions to the post.

"I knew there had to be something behind his outfit," tweeted one X user.

"More than that, his chain is the same as the cross on Tupac's back," another wrote.

"This definitely felt like The Source Awards you youngins will never understand," commented a third X user.

"Everything the man [does] is calculated," opined someone else.

However, a different commenter said that "paying homage is a stretch cuz he never said this."

Another echoed the statement and remarked, "I don't think he was paying homage."

Meanwhile, the Pulitzer Prize awardee was joined on stage by several icons, including Dr. Dre; Tyler, the Creator; and YG, among many others, as an ode to West Coast rap.
