Draya Michele Slams Hate Surrounding Her Dating Jalen Green Who Is The Same Age As Her Son: ‘Love Is Love’
Draya Michele is blocking out toxicity surrounding her 17-year age gap with boyfriend Jalen Green.
'TMZ' caught up with the lovebirds in West Hollywood this week where the duo claimed they simply "mind their business."
Michele was seen wearing a matching tangerine adidas set pushing a stroller alongside the Houston Rockets' basketball guard. She told reporters: "We try to stay off the internet and try not to really give into that kinda stuff."
Green, 22 — who was seen trailing behind Michele — chimed in on the question as well, stating: "We also don't care."
The former 'Basketball Wives LA' star claims she doesn't understand why her critics are so pressed about her relationship, claiming that they are "adults" in love.
"Two adults being in love, I don't know why that would rub people the wrong way," she said. "It's kind of weird. Love is love at the end of the day," she said, per 'Page Six.'
When the 'TMZ' reporter inquired as to whether the couple are excited about more children, they both shrugged.
Users on social media was relentless in the comment section of her Instagram before the official announcement of her pregnancy, leaving comments across several photos dragging the 17-year age gap. One wrote: "GIRLLLL THEY OUT HERE CALLING YOU R.SHELLY" and another Instagram user wrote: "Muah, I date KIDS."
Michele, 39, revealed her baby was born on Mother's Day, which, according to her, was a day marked with grief. She clarified the birth of her child has made her "grateful for the new memories we all get to experience moving forward."
Michele and Green have been romantic since August 2023 and have remianed relatively private about their relationship. The model is a mother to two other children, including Knicko, who is the same age as Green, and Jru, 7, with former NFL player Orlando Scandrick.
