Ice Cube revealed that the 4th sequel in the cult-favorite 'Friday' franchise is finally underway.

More than two decades after the release of 'Friday After Next,' the rapstar turned film producer announced during an episode of 'Flavor of the Week' that he and his team are "working on" the highly anticipated film.

"We finally got some traction with Warner Brothers," the 55-year-old revealed.

"They have new leadership," Cube began, explaining that Mike DeLuca — who was around for the original 'Friday' (1995), 'The Player's Club' (1998), and 'All About The Benjamins' (2002) — is now running Warner Bros. and is on board with the highly coveted project.

"Him and my man Michael Gruber was like, 'Yo, what is going on with "Friday? Man, let's get this back online.' "

Cube, born O'Shea Jackson, expressed his disappointment in waiting so long to get the show on the road, as some characters from the original installation have died.

"I was a little hot they had took so long, because John Witherspoon passed away, Tiny passed away, A.J. Johnson passed away — I'm like man, we keep losing people and y'all keep d******g around, not doing the movie the way it need to be done," Cube explained. "They wanna do it — but the kids. It gotta be done right."

John Witherspoon, who was known for his role as Craig's dad Willie Jones, Tiny, born Tommy Lister Jr., known for his role as Deebo, and A.J. Johnson, who played Ezal, were all key characters in the essence of the original film. They all died between 2019 and 2021.

Despite the former N.W.A. rapper's long awaited desire to continue the sequels, he refused to settle for less. In 2022, the Big3 basketball league founder made headlines for not wanting to make a sequel because the studio wouldn't give him rights to the film.

"They need to give it to me, and they're going to make money," Cube told Mike Tyson in 2022 on an episode of his 'Hotboxin' podcast. "They need to do the right thing, get it to us, let us turn it into more money, and make the fans happy... We can do a lot with it."

Details regarding the film's rollout are yet to come.
