Katy Perry wished Rihanna a 'Happy Birthday' 12 years ago, which has since resurfaced as of June 21 in a shocking way.

While the Barbados native, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was thanking the #RihannaNavy for remembering to shout her out on her special day on Twitter, now known as X, Perry managed to openly leave a wildly offensive comment that left fans stunned.

"Ahhhhhhh ALL MY BDAY wishes from my DM to my TL!!!! KRAY! I truly love u guys, thank you so much #RihannaNavy for makin me feel special," Rihanna, now 36, wrote.

"@rihanna HAPPY BIRFDAY u hoodrat, bearc**t, crazy, sexy a**, freaky whole bit b****h. I [red heart] u so much. Keep it real tonight, as I know u will!"

It wasn't until June 21 of this year that a fan went back and revisited the meaning behind the word "bearc**t," which some speculate may be a synonym for the N-word. However, the definition hasn't been confirmed. Fans collectively agreed the response as a whole was shocking.

"A bear what...a hood whooo?!?!?! [crying emoji]," one user responded. "She called her a hoodrat .... and got away with it??? [crying emoji]," a second stunned fan replied. "Katy b***h you lost your d**n mind," a third wrote in disbelief.

A community note later clarified that the definition was inacurrate. "This is a fake. Bearc**t doesn't mean the n-word or any other racist connotation. Actually, it doesn't even have a formal or informal specific meaning."

That didn't stop the post from reaching a whopping 2.5 million views and fans swooping in to defend the Fenty queen — who sat front row to support her beau A$AP Rocky during his Paris Fashion Week debut, presenting 'American Sabotage' by AWGE.

It's unclear whether Perry or Rihanna spoke publicaly about the post.
