Iman Shumpert Ordered To Pay Teyana Taylor Seven Figures And $8K In Monthly Child Support In Divorce Settlement
Iman Shumpert has been ordered to pay his ex-wife a hefty settlement after finalizing their divorce.
According to 'The Jasmine Brand,' the former NBA star has been ordered to pay Teyana Taylor a seven-figure sum as part of the divorce settlement, in addition to $8,000 a month in child support payments.
Shumpert's recent attempts to reduce his child support obligations were unsuccessful. He argued that Taylor's tax statements indicated she earned more than he did, seeking a reduction in the payments based on their incomes.
However, the court upheld the original child support arrangement, concluding that Shumpert's financial responsibilities towards their children remained unchanged.

A key aspect of the settlement includes Taylor, 33, being entitled to four significant marital properties which add substantial assets to Taylor's portfolio.
In addition to the one-time seven-figure payment and the monthly child support, Shumpert, 33, is also required to cover 100% of the private school fees for their children. Shumpert and Taylor share two children; Iman "Junie" and Rue Rose.
The approximate collective value of the settlement amounts to $10 million.

Taylor filed for divorce from the ex-Cleveland Cavaliers player in January 2023. According to 'TMZ,' the "Bare With Me" singer filed for divorce on the grounds that her husband was "treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage." While fighting to keep their marriage together, Taylor stated that she found the relationship unsustainable.
The Harlem native, who was once signed to Kanye West's label G.O.O.D. Music, shared that she found herself having to "intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage," citing that he was jealous of her successes. She stated that their relationship constantly "remained in an insecure state as his NBA career continued to wind down."
