Travis Barker’s Ex-Wife Shanna Moakler Says She Is ‘Sick’ Of The Kardashians While Detailing ‘Horrible’ Heartbreaks
Travis Barker's ex-wife is fed up, but is choosing to stand tall after enduring heartbreak.
During an interview with 'PEOPLE,' Shanna Moakler spoke about her tumultuous 2023 and the trials and tribulations she faced with her ex-husband Barker.
The former Miss USA pageant queen — who maintains that she's "more than just the ex-wife of famous men" — detailed the heartbreak she faced while dating former pro boxer Oscar De La Hoya and her divorce with Kourtney Kardashian's now husband.
After suffering alongside a "drinking" De La Hoya while he was accused of sexual assault and infidelity following the birth of their child Atiana, the two broke off their engagement in 2000. Four years later, she married Barker.
"I also don't have to like the f******g Kardashians, and I'm honestly sick of talking about them," Moakler, 49, told the media outlet. "As I stand here today, as a mature woman who's gone through all that... I do not give a f**k what anyone thinks of me anymore. I'm proud of who I am."
Regarding "all that" — Moakler detailed welcoming her daughter Alabama Luella, 18, in 2005 on Christmas Eve before a "whirlwind" of challenges would take place in her relationship with Barker. The Blink-182 drummer filed for divorce after two seasons of their reality show, 'Meet The Barkers,' leaving Moakler devastated.
"I'm not in the angry phase at all because I'm still absolutely in love with Shan," Barker, 48, said at that time, per the outlet. A month after he declared his love, he was allegedly spotted kissing Paris Hilton in a nightclub.
Barker was later severely injured in a plane crash in South Carolina that would terrify Moakler. "I was so terrified. I was supposed to be on the plane but decided not to go at the last minute and stay with the kids. Then I heard Travis screaming, 'I'm on fire,' and I was like, 'Oh my God.' I was hysterical," Moakler told the outlet.
"We wanted another baby. We were going to get married again, but then it just didn't work out. We just couldn't recover," she stated, explaining the two lived in separate rooms until 2014.
Despite the split, Moakler admits she was shocked when she heard Kardashian and Barker tied the knot.
"Honestly, I just don't care about my exes at the moment. I don't care about Oscar or Travis," the 49-year-old admitted. "I don't have a relationship with Travis, but I think that's okay. I don't feel like it'll be like that forever, but I feel like right now — I think that's where we are at in our evolution, and maybe in the future, it'll change."
She continued: "I'm an empty nester and turning 50, and I'm just trying to find my place in the world again without my parents or a partner."
