Prince Harry Allegedly Did Everything To Be Invited To Trooping The Colour; ‘Emotional’ Over Kate Middleton Footage: Report
Prince Harry tried to do everything to score an invite to this year's Trooping the Colour, according to a source.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's last appearance at the event was in 2022, when Queen Elizabeth was still alive. However, they did not make a balcony appearance and only watched the flypast in the Major General's Office overlooking the Horse Guards Parade because only royals "currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the queen" were invited to join Her Majesty on the balcony. Despite that, Prince Harry allegedly hoped to return and join his family for the same event this year, but he didn't get what he wanted.
"It was so painful for Harry to see all his family gathered for Trooping the Colour and not be there with them, he'd have done anything to be invited, even gone alone. He's heartbroken and confused by the way they've cut him off and seemingly haven't given it another thought," an unnamed source told Closer magazine.
The Duke of Sussex -- who used to be very close to his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, who made her first public appearance at Trooping the Colour months after announcing her cancer diagnosis in March -- was reportedly "emotional" when he saw the Princess of Wales. The tipster claimed that Prince William's wife and brother were still communicating, but it wasn't the same as before.
"Harry was very upset and emotional when he saw the footage of Kate at Trooping the Colour. He's been so worried about her ever since he received the news of her condition, and whilst he has managed to connect with her on a few occasions, it's not nearly as often as he'd like," the tipster continued.
"He would have dearly loved to have been there, if only to congratulate and support Kate in person on what must have been an incredibly difficult day for her."

Meghan Markle's husband was allegedly "sad" that he had to watch the event on TV or via the internet from the United States. His situation, the insider claimed, "hammers home how he's a proper outsider at this point."
Although he wasn't there, Prince Harry was reportedly "incredibly proud" of Middleton's progress because she looked healthy and was in good spirits. However, it was allegedly a "kick in the guts" that he could not bond with her.
Enstarz could not independently verify the claims.
An unnamed insider told Life & Style that Middleton and Prince Harry talked following her health scare announcement. However, Markle was allegedly left in the dark, and she felt "blindsided."
"Everyone assumes Kate doesn't like Harry, but they have a special bond that not many people really understand," the insider claimed. "She and Harry were extremely close at one time. She's confided in him during some of her darkest moments, and now that includes her cancer battle. Kate's leaned on Harry for support."
However, Maureen Callahan, an American columnist for the Daily Mail, claimed on GB News that the Sussexes were not updated about King Charles and Middleton's health. They were reportedly in a "complete informational blackout," so "they have really no idea" what's going on in the royal households.
