The investigation of Matthew Perry's death is still unveiling new details.

Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on 'Friends,' died in October 2023 after a reported ketamine overdose. As June 2024, law enforcement announced their belief that multiple individuals should be charged in connection with Perry's untimely death.

This shift in the investigation came after the medical examiner released a detailed report on Perry's cause of death, prompting a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the overdose.

A critical aspect of the investigation is determining the source of the ketamine that led to Perry's overdose.

While it is known that Perry was undergoing ketamine infusion therapy, a treatment sometimes used for depression, the amount he would have received through this therapy would not have been lethal. This raises significant questions about where the fatal dose originated.

According to a source who spoke to 'In Touch,' a high-profile actress may be involved in the case. The insider claimed the actress is "a celebrity in her own right, and they met in rehab. They formed an unexpected friendship." The identity of this actress remains undisclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.

A year prior to his death, Perry released his memoir, 'Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.' He waited until 2022 to release the book, citing to 'PEOPLE' that he "wanted to share when I was safe from going into the dark side again. I had to wait until I was pretty safely sober and away from the active disease of alcoholism and addiction to write it all down. I was pretty certain that it would help people if I did."
