Billy Ray Cyrus is fighting back against his estranged wife's abuse claims and is responding with abuse claims of his own.

In court documents obtained by 'Entertainment Tonight,' the 'Acky Breaky Heart' singer alleged Firerose, born Johanna Rose Hodges, "physically," "verbally," and "emotionally" abused him.

Cyrus, 62, maintained that his wife's previous filing from June 14 was "only made to sensationalize her false complaints by using the word abuse," per the media outlet.

"While the plaintiff [Cyrus] would acknowledge that he was certainly vocal, frustrated, and angry with the defendant [Firerose] in May 2024, it is [Cyrus] who, in fact, has been abused," the new court docs claim per 'ET'. "Not only verbally and emotionally by the defendant, but also physically by the defendant."

Her claims that Cyrus "interfered" with Fireroses' career in the industry was swiftly shot down by Cyrus' lawyers who maintain his wife, 36, had "absolutely no significant career in the music industry prior to meeting him."

Documents also claim that the country singer confronted his wife about alleged "fraud," however, Firerose claimed she'd leverage divorce against him. "If you ever think of divorcing me right now, I will tell everyone that you did it because of the double mastectomy and your career will be over," she allegedly threatened, per the filing.

Cyrus maintains that those claims were made in an effort to ruin his decades-long career and that the surgery in question was "elective," and not for the purpose of preventing cancer or early signs of cancer.

Cyrus also claimed his wife had been recording him throughout their entire relationship — including the IRS, doctors, and business meetings  — without his knowledge.

"We regret that Ms. Hodges has chosen to litigate this 7-month marriage in the press and has left Mr. Cyrus with no recourse but to set the record straight," Cyrus' lawyers Rose Palermo and Jason Talley said in a statement to 'ET.'

The two met on the set of the hit series 'Hannah Montana' before collaborating on music. They became engaged in August 2022 prior to their official union in October of the following year in Franklin, Tennessee.
