"Jackass" alum Bam Margera has been sentenced to six months probation for a family dispute.

On Wednesday, the former MTV personality admitted to disorderly conduct following an incident at his residence near Philadelphia, as reported by the Associated Press and ABC 6. Margera, 44, faced charges for assaulting his brother, Jess Margera, and issuing threats to family members. 

The altercation in April 2023 occurred during a "frightening and unpredictable" two-week visit, according to Jess Margera.

Police were called to the house in response to a domestic disturbance. Jess Margera reported to officers that the "Viva La Bam" star had forcefully broken down his locked bedroom door by kicking and pounding on it. Later, during an altercation, Bam allegedly struck him in the eye, nose, and ear, and left a threatening handwritten note signed "Bam," according to the Associated Press. 

According to reports, Jess Margera endured a ruptured eardrum from the altercation. During a hearing, he mentioned that Bam Margera became agitated after reading a text message suggesting he required mental health care. 

Bam Margera allegedly escaped the residence on foot, leading to an arrest warrant being issued for him.

At a hearing in July 2023, Jess Margera described his brother as "a good dude when he's not messed up," as reported by the Associated Press. At the same hearing, Bam Margera informed the judge that he was undergoing treatment for alcohol and drug issues. 

"I'm not trying to get him in trouble here. I just want him to get the help because I feel like this is our last chance," Jess Margera expressed, commenting on what he described as twenty years of concerning behavior by the former TV star. 

Bam Margera's attorney, William Brennan, stated on Wednesday that the "Jackass" alum admitted to two summary offenses and is now clean and sober, as reported by the AP. 

"You can really say he won his case before today just by turning his life around," Brennan told the outlet.
