Monet took to social media to share a heartfelt moment with her followers. Posting a tender photograph, she captioned it with heartfelt words: "[S]pending our first Father's Day together ever a real blessing! The little girl in me is so happyyyyyyy, healing."
Interestingly, Hot New Hip Hop learned that the touching post took an unexpected turn when someone reposted the picture with a revelation that stirred public interest. The poster dropped a bombshell when she claimed to be Victoria Monet's half-sister.
She wrote, "I'm glad you got a chance to meet him finally. I'm 23 and haven't seen him 20 years of my life...and he never bothered to reach out to me. Wow ANTHONY DETAMOORE or however u spell it !!! So Victoria Monet is my half sister ??"

According to People, Monet recently addressed her newfound half-sister during an interview. In an episode of the podcast "Way Up," she said, "I was born an only child, but ... I met my dad in my twenties, and I discovered that I have a sister."
She explained that this discovery was "really hard at first, because it's new information, where, like, she was surprised -- it was the whole thing."
Regardless of the stress of the life-changing situation, the new discovery has been a positive experience in the singer's life. She described meeting her sister as "beautiful."
