Viewers were shocked when Jill Biden seemingly congratulated Joe Biden like a toddler following a "disastrous" performance during last night's head-to-head debate with Donald Trump. 

Former Republican president Trump was seen wincing as Biden appeared to lose his train of thought during their 90-minute 'CNN' debate, mumbling and stumbling over his words.

"I really don't know what he [Biden] just said," Trump, 78, responded after the democratic president stammered and completely froze.

According to 'The Daily Mail', experts are calling for Biden to stand aside and allow someone else to fight in November, adding that friends and supporters suggest Jill should be the one to suggest that her husband call it quits.

It was during Biden's 'Let's Go Joe' rally in Atlanta, when Jill helped the 81-year-old on stage before seemingly babying him regarding his CNN performance. Per the media outlet, Biden told reporters at a Waffle House that he plans to stand in November.  

"Joe, you did such a great job answering every question. You knew all the facts," Jill, 73, said to her husband on stage. The crowd of Biden's supporters who were chanting "four more years" and that Trump told "lies" during the debate.

'AP News' reported that Biden's execution during the 90-minute 'CNN' debate left the democratic party in a panic about his potential ability to lead the party against Trump. 

Former Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill shared her doubts, saying : "I'm not the only one whose heart is breaking right now. There's a lot of people who watched this tonight and felt terribly for Joe Biden."

"I don't know if things can be done to fix this," McCaskill told 'MSNBC'. Both candidates agreed to participate in a second debate, which was offered to them by 'ABC', scheduled to take place on September 10.
