Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck Faking Relationship? Marriage Has Been Allegedly 'Over For Months': Report
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck haven't addressed the split rumors, but their marriage has been over for months, according to a report.
Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, have been living separately amid rumors they are heading for divorce. However, the celebrity couple is still seen together from time to time, and on some outings, they even wear their wedding bands. They also appeared in good spirits and happy in public sightings.
However, their marriage "has allegedly been over for months," Page Six reported. They haven't released any statement about their romance yet amid months-long rumors of marital strife. Sources told the outlet that the "Gone Girl" actor is "very protective of Jennifer."
The insiders claimed that they had been apart since March. In May, the "Justice League" actor was spotted leaving a house in Brentwood without his wife. The sighting sparked rumors that he and Lopez had been living separately.
According to TMZ, he had been coming from and going to the same house and spending nights there. At about the same time, Lopez was spotted house hunting with her producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, in Beverly Hills.
"Ben already moved out, and they'll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They'll never stop loving each other, but she can't control him, and he can't change her. There's no way it could have lasted," an unnamed source told In Touch at the time.

"The writing is on the wall -- it's over," the source added. "They're headed for a divorce -- and for once, [Ben's] not to blame!"
Weeks after he moved out from their marital home, the couple put the $60 million mansion up for sale, fueling the divorce rumors even more. However, they still reunite for their kids' activities. Lopez was spotted joining Affleck for Fin's school play and at Violet and Samuel's graduation.
The "Marry Me" actress also flew to Italy for a solo vacation. However, they reunited after she returned to California, and Affleck was seen wearing his wedding band again, which he had ditched while she was away.
Life and heartbreak coach Manj Bahra noticed the changes in their dynamics. The relationship expert said the space might have helped them establish their priorities and made their "conviction of wanting to be together" stronger. However, it was also possible that they met to finalize things.
"The presence of a wedding ring can often be misleading," he said, referring to Affleck wearing his wedding band.
Jacqueline Newman, a managing partner at the matrimonial law firm Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP, also weighed in on the couple's marriage. She believed they had settled it and might have signed the divorce papers already because they were "dropping hints about their marriage ending."
