'Married At First Sight New Zealand's' Andrew Jury Dies Unexpectedly At 33 In Mt Eden Prison
Andrew Jury, a participant in the inaugural season of 'Married at First Sight New Zealand, has died.
He was 33.
According to his father, Roy Jury, Andrew died last Thursday at the Mt Eden Corrections Facility in Auckland, New Zealand, as reported by 'The New Zealand Herald.'
The circumstances surrounding Andrew's death remain ambiguous and corrections officers purportedly made urgent efforts to revive him.
Andrew reportedly died mere hours before his scheduled court appearance on assault allegations. Concerns over Andrew's mental well-being in the days preceding the hearing were voiced by his father, who disclosed that Andrew had confided in his family about his hardships during his incarceration since April 2.
In 2017, Andrew gained recognition on 'MAFS,' a reality dating program where participants are paired based on scientific matchmaking techniques and marry on their initial meeting.
Andrew was paired with Vicky Gleeson-Stokes, but their relationship faced challenges and did not extend beyond the show's finale. Ultimately, Andrew publicly criticized the production of the show.
