Michael Blackson revealed that he hasn't let go of Will Smith's controversial Oscar slap in March 2022.

During an episode of 'The Art of Dialogue' posted June 20, Blackson confessed why he refuses to let Smith's outrageous violent outburst of slapping Chris Rock live on-stage go.

When the 51-year-old was asked his opinion on the newly released action film 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die' — which became the ninth-highest-grossing film of 2024 — Blackson maintained that he was "rocking" with his fellow comedian instead.

"I didn't get to see the movie yet. I haven't gotten over the slap... yet," he said. "I'm a comedian, you know — I'm rocking with Chris Rock. Because I'm a comic."

"So it's not really pushing me to go to the movie theater to go and see this, because as soon as I see his face I'm just thinking about the slap," the 'Next Friday' star stated, admitting that he still feels some type of way about the incident. "If they make up somehow and they're smiling again together...I'm like, 'Okay, if he could forgive him then I think we all could as comedians.' But 50% of comedians really feel some type of way about the slap."

Blackson went on to explain that perhaps the Philadelphia native felt "invincible" as if he could "do whatever he wants" due to his megastar status.

The 'I Am Legend' actor did apologize multiple times since the jaw-dropping incident that took place live during the 94th Annual Academy Awards. On March 27, 2022, Smith, 55, left his seat, walked on stage, and assaulted Rock by slapping him across the face.

"Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk," Smith stated, per 'Vibe.' "I want to apologize to Chris' mother. I saw an interview that Chris' mother did, and that was one of the things about that moment I didn't realize, and I wasn't thinking about how many people got hurt in that moment."
