Christina Applegate joked about her body amid her health battle.

The "Bad Moms" star got candid about battle her with multiple sclerosis (MS) and how it affected her grooming routine on Tuesday's episode of her and Jamie-Lynn Sigler's "MeSsy" podcast. Applegate, 52, began by saying that she and her co-host are a duo, calling Sigler the "Simon to my Garfunkel."

"Which is what my bush looks like at this point," Applegate joked, referring to Art Garfunkel's famous hairstyle. "Shave when your stomach is as big as mine. Because you have to lift it up and then get in ... you know what I mean? You're one-handing and you're trying to stand and you're falling over in the shower. I know people with MS can relate to this. You can't get in there, get your leg up and then move your big belly up to see it."

"You have to sit on the floor. You gotta literally sit on the floor of your shower and contort yourself in strange ways," Sigler, 43, added.

Garfunkel was popular for sporting a lush head of hair. He was recognizable for his distinctive curly mane or trademark Afro hairdo. In the 1970s, the hairstyle represented a generation embracing their individuality and artistic expression.

Both Sigler and Applegate have been open about their battle with MS. They started their podcast to talk about the ups and downs of living with a central nervous system autoimmune condition.

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease of the central nervous system and is thought to be an autoimmune disorder -- a condition in which the body attacks itself by mistake. People with MS may lose their ability to see, write, speak, or walk when the communication between the brain and other body parts is disrupted.

Applegate previously admitted she thought her role in "Dead to Me" could be her last acting job due to her health condition. In a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair, the Emmy-winning actress admitted how living with MS was a daily grind.

"With the disease of MS, it's never a good day," Applegate said. "You just have little s----y days. People are like, 'Well, why don't you take more showers?' Well, because getting in the shower is frightening. You can fall, you can slip, your legs can buckle. Especially because I have a glass shower. It's frightening to me to get in there."

She added that there were things she had taken for granted before, like going down the stairs and carrying things. According to her, she couldn't do them anymore.

"It f*****g sucks. I can still drive my car short distances. I can bring up food to my kid. Up, never down," she added.
