7 Female Celebrities Who Said ‘No’ To Plastic Surgery, Denied Cosmetic Procedures
Several stars in Hollywood sparked plastic surgery rumors after fans noticed some changes in their appearance, but many have shut down the speculations about their looks.
Celebrities spend on their appearance, and it's understandable given that they are always in the spotlight. However, many have been accused of undergoing cosmetic procedures to enhance their beauty. Here are some of the female celebrities who denied the surgery rumors.
1. Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez looks good for her age. At 54, The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer is still in her best shape and maintains her youthful glow.
However, there are speculations that she had fillers and Botox. Even Dr. Bruce Katz, director of New York's Juva Skin and Laser Center, believed she had injected her lips, and Dr. Steven Pearlman, New York City facial plastic surgeon, was convinced she had Botox because there are no lines on her forehead and crow's feet on her face.
However, Lopez shut down the surgery rumors. One netizen commented on a post on her Instagram in January 2021 and claimed that she "definitely" had undergone Botox.
"LOL thats just my face!!! ....For the 500 millionth time... I have never done Botox or any injectable or surgery!! Just sayin' [smilign face with smiling eyes emoji]," Lopez replied, per Harper's Bazaar.
2. Irina Shayk
Irina Shayk, 38, sparked speculations she had lip fillers due to her plump pout. However, the Russian fashion model just laughed off the rumors and said it was natural.
"Look, if somebody wants to inject their lips because they feel bad, God bless them. I don't judge anyone," she told BAZAAR.com. "I always promote natural beauty because I think we live in this perfect world where everyone wants to be perfect. But I'm not perfect. Sometimes I have a double chin. Perfection doesn't exist."
"And if I read [a headline] and it's like, 'She had injections, her lips look like dumplings,' I just laugh because it just makes me, I don't want to say it makes me happy, but I think in this life you have to have a sense of humor."
Bradley Cooper's ex doesn't allow the rumors to get into her head. She chooses to maintain her peace and not let the reports bother her.
"With everything that's going on in the world, you have to take it easy. Some people are going to love you, some people are going to hate you. It doesn't really disturb my life," Shayk said.
3. Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Cavallari, 37, is a popular TV personality, fashion designer and author. However, Instagram user @injectorjess shared a side-by-side throwback of Cavallari from "The Hills" era and 2019 Golden Globes red carpet, and claimed she had lip, cheek and under-eye fillers and Botox. Cavallari was quick to shut down the allegation.
"I've actually never touched my face, but thanks for the compliment I guess," Cavallari commented, as seen in a screenshot captured by Comments by Celebs. "Maybe get your facts straight before you start making claims like that. I'm proud to be injectable free."
4. Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore is aware of the rumors claiming she had a nose job. However, the "This is Us" star shut down the speculations in a 2018 interview with PopSugar.
"I remember seeing some blog post that said I got a nose job," Moore recalled. "I was like, 'That's weird -- my nose is pretty imperfect.' I have a crinkled part underneath the bridge of my nose and I remember laughing like, 'I feel like I would have fixed that had I had a nose job.' I don't know, maybe it was just a weird picture or weird makeup or shading or something."
She added, "People think everyone in Hollywood has had a nose job or some work done, but it's not always true. People are going to believe what they want, and that's fine. And if having work done is going to make somebody feel better about themselves, then more power to them."
5. Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner, 28, grew up in front of the camera, with her teenage years documented in their family TV series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Some fans claimed there were changes in her appearance, sparking rumors she had used fillers and gotten plastic surgery, but the model said it was down to her sister Kylie's makeup techniques.
"All of a sudden, photos of us came out with headlines like, 'OMG Kendall got her lips done and got full facial reconstruction -- look at her cheekbones, look at her nose!' I was like, this is CRAZY. I didn't even address it at the time. Because if I address it, people are going to be like 'Oh, so she's defending herself-she must be guilty,'" Jenner wrote on her website and app.
"As a model, why would I have my face reconstructed? It doesn't even make sense," she added. "It's crazy because sometimes I feel like people just want me to lose."
6. Jodie Foster
Jodie Foster, 61, starred in several hit movies, including "Panic Room" (2002), "Freaky Friday" (1976), "Taxi Driver" (1976) and "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991). In 2007, she opened up about motherhood and the conversation touched on cosmetic surgery. There were rumors that she had facial enhancement and eye surgery because her eyes were perfectly shaped.
"Nah," she said about the surgery rumors. "It's not my thing. I don't have anything against it for other people. Whatever they want to do, I'm fine with it. For me, it's really a self-image thing. Like, I'd rather have somebody go, 'Wow, that girl has a bad nose' than 'Wow, that girl has a bad nose job.'"
She added, "I'd rather have a comment about who I am than about something that identifies me as being ashamed of who I am."
7. Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet, 48, won many hearts when she played Rose in the hit movie "Titanic." There were rumors that she had a nose job, but the British beauty denied them. She clarified that going under the knife was against her morals, and she would never give in to the Hollywood pressure and undergo cosmetic procedures to enhance her appearance.
"It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty," the "Mare of Easttown" actress told The Telegraph. "I will never give in."
She added, "I am an actress, I don't want to freeze the expression of my face."
