Aries Spears Blasts Black Women Who Wear 'Big Fake A** Eyelashes', Says 'They Look Like Pterodactyl Wings'
Aries Spears took to Instagram to share his opinion on Black women wearing fake lashes while promoting his "Spears & Steinberg" podcast.
In a recent reel upload, the 49-year-old stand-up comedian gave out a "quick public announcement," saying, "To all my beautiful Black queens out there, I want you to know from the bottom of my heart that I love you, I respect you. You're beautiful and you're mandatory."
"That being said, can some of you all please, for the love of god, stop wearing your 'big fake a** eyelashes? You have no idea. Are you not aware of how ridiculous that s**t looks?" he continued.

Mimicking how the fake lashes allegedly look with his hands, he remarked, "To have this on your face, it looks like you got pterodactyl wings on your face. You don't need it."
"And if you're not proportioned correctly, and you're as skinny as Snoop Dogg, with this on your face, it is just a horrible look. Them (sic) eyelashes look like BBLs to your face. You don't need it. Love and respect."
He captioned his reel, "STOP IT! Them [s**t emoji]'s look RIDICULOUS," and promoted his podcast, saying, "DM me for the link to the 'Spears & Steinberg' podcast. Also, subscribe to our YouTube channel under spearsbergpod. Hit like and subscribe."
Seeing his post, social media users on Instagram quickly shared their thoughts and reactions.

"Seems like you always have something to say negative[ly] about [Black] women. All races of women go overboard with it, but when [Black] women do something that does look good etc...," commented one Instagram user.
"I just wanna know why people are so invested in others and what they do. Especially because everyone isn't perfect and has things they could work on, Mr Spears included," wrote another.
"Sir, you need to worry about your blood sugar and cholesterol before worrying about our lashes. You have serious health issues. I can take my lashes off in five seconds, but it's [going to] take time for you to get your health together. I mean this as respectfully as you intended for your message to be," suggested a different commenter.
"You have bigger things to worry about, like those dark circles around your eyes," quipped someone else.
A few, however, agreed with Spears' message and said he was only sharing his opinion.
"I agree with your message. I think that is kinda ridiculous as a fully grown man as well though. Everyone has an opinion right?" wrote one person.
"As a woman who barely has eyelashes and still will not 'snuffleupagus' up her lash game, I approve [of] this message," commented another person.
"I approve this PSA," said someone else.
