DJ Vlad spoke candidly about Cassie Ventura, alleging she "wasn't honest with herself" and "chose to stay" with Sean "Diddy" Combs.

During an episode of 'Off the Record' podcast, Vlad claimed the singer believed "in her mind" that Diddy would turn her into a superstar.

"She was treated like most other artists at Bad Boy where she was given her chance, she was sent to the studio, she had collabs, other artists would go in — other producers... she had her chance," Vlad began.

"I don't think she was ever honest enough with herself to say, 'Maybe I'm just not that talented of an artist,' " the journalist suspected. "For ten years, she stuck around realistically thinking that she's gonna be a big superstar. She liked the lifestyle."

"She had an apartment in L.A., an apartment in New York. When I saw her out...I ran into her before, she had a brand new Rolex on. She had nice clothes, she never flew coach, [she] probably flew private... she liked the lifestyle," he claimed. "She wanted to be married to Diddy."

He continued: "The relationship was probably good a lot of the time, but when it got bad it got bad. But she decided to stay." The 51-year-old went on to claim the narrative had to be painted like the "Me & U" artist was "a prisoner" which he claims "is not exactly true."

"Was she abused? Absolutely. Was she abused 100% of the time? Probably not," Vlad stated matter-of-factly.

In May, it was reported that Combs' accusers may testify in front of a federal grand jury, potentially seeking the indictment of the "I Need A Girl" rapper. Per 'CNN,' the Harlem native is named in eight civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault.

Combs, 54, has declared his innocence despite all accusations against him — aside from his public apology after video footage surfaced of him brutally assaulting Cassie in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel.
