Netizens Blast Whoopi Goldberg For Saying She'll Still Vote For Biden Even 'If He's Pooped His Pants'

Whoopi Goldberg is a solid supporter of President Joe Biden, but her recent statement about the politician raised eyebrows.

The "View" co-host spoke about Biden following a holiday hiatus and his disastrous performance at the first 2024 election debate against Donald Trump late last month. Goldberg said she would still vote for Biden as long as he could do the job, even if he'd poop his pants. Her remarks prompted several social media users to attack the "Sister Act" star.

"Whoopi would vote for Biden even if he's a mess? Shows how loyalty blinds logic," one commented. "Leaders should be sharp, not just relatable on their worst days. We need strength at the top, not sympathy votes."

"TMI Whoopie. We've already lost all respect for you. Now we know you're disgusting too," a second user wrote.

"They're acknowledging it and still backing him. They're in a cult. Reasoning with these people is impossible," another critic added.

"That woman is nasty!!" a fourth person commented.

A different commenter added, "These people are completely delusional and unhinged."

Despite the backlash, many agreed with Goldberg's sentiment. According to them, they would still vote for Biden no matter what. Some also got her point and why she made the remark.

"The reason people don't care if Biden is slowing is because a criminal and a rapist is exponentially worse than a man who is slowing," one wrote.

"I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'd vote for President Biden even if he was on life support. The alternative is incredibly scary. That project 2025 is nothing more than a fascist manifest. It will more or less take away one hell of a lot of freedoms we now enjoy," another added.

"Whoopi and @ananavarro are correct. The @DNC @SenateDems @HouseDemocrats should be supporting @biden instead of wanting him to step down," a third person opined. "Whoopi is right about stepping in 'poo.' Everyone makes mistakes. Except Trump, supposedly."

In the recent episode of her show, Goldberg aired her support for Biden at the Hot Topics table amid the calls that he should step down.

"I don't care if he's pooped his pants, I don't care if he can't put a sentence together. Show me he can't do the job, and I'll say, okay, maybe it's time to go," Goldberg said, per Entertainment Weekly. 

"He had a bad night the first time he went out and debated with Kamala Harris, and everybody wanted him to quit then," the 68-year-old TV personality said. "He came back and said, you know what, I've got it, and he gave four years." 

Goldberg also seemingly downplayed the allegations that Biden pooped his pants at the D-Day. According to her, she has "poopy days all the time."

"I have poopy days all the time," Goldberg explained. "I step in so much poo, you can't even imagine. Now, I'm not running the world, but I don't know anybody who doesn't step in stuff at some point."
