Amber Rose, Who Called Donald Trump An 'Idiot,' Scheduled To Speak At The Republican National Convention
Amber Rose is slated to address the Republican National Convention next week, according to a source familiar with the matter as reported by CNN's Kristen Holmes.
Holmes tweeted that Rose, a reality TV personality and model who endorsed Donald Trump earlier this year, is expected to deliver a speech at the upcoming Republican National Convention.
The 40-year-old, who previously dated rapper Kanye West until their split in 2010, is noted for her advocacy against sexual violence and her leadership in organizing the Los Angeles "SlutWalk," a feminist initiative aimed at combating slut-shaming and sexual assault.
In a 2016 interview with 'The Cut,' Rose expressed strong criticism of Trump, 78, labeling him as an "idiot" and stating her fervent hope that he would not become president.
In May, she publicly announced her endorsement of Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
The next month, she shared a photo on social media featuring herself alongside Trump and former first lady Melania Trump, captioned "Trump 2024" with three American flag emojis. Additionally, she posted another photo sporting a MAGA hat and a gold chain.
Rose's former partner, West, now known as Ye since 2021, previously supported Trump and in 2022 visited Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida to propose being his running mate for 2024.
However, West, 47, later described the meeting as tense, stating that Trump was annoyed by his request.
"When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was gonna lose. I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history, telling Ye that I'm going to lose?" West asked during an interview with 'Timcast IRL' in November 2022. "You're talking to Ye!"
Trump harshly rebuked West, intensifying efforts to distance himself by describing the rapper as a "seriously troubled man, who just happens to be Black," as reported on his Truth Social platform.
