Gypsy Rose Blanchard Pregnant Just Months After Split With Husband, Prison Release
Gypsy Rose Blanchard took to social media to officially share her pregnancy with her first child.
Over the weekend, Blanchard announced she is expecting and is due to give birth in January by posting a collage of photos with her baby daddy, Ken Urker.
"We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025 -- announcement video on YouTube (link in bio). Thank you to the photographer @m0therofchaos for the amazing photos," she captioned her post.
Aside from the photo announcement, she uploaded a vlog about her pregnancy journey on her new YouTube channel.
"Well...the rumors are true! Ken and I are so excited to start our family together and I can't wait to share my journey with you here on YouTube and my other social media platforms. Thank you for all your support so far and I can't wait to see our family grow," she wrote in the vlog's description.
When she filmed the vlog, she said she was 11 weeks pregnant and that her pregnancy was unplanned.
"This was not planned at all. It was completely unexpected. But we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood," she told her viewers.
She also admitted that people might feel like she's not yet ready to be a mother.
"It's still going to be a long journey ahead but I'm up for it. I know that there are going to be people that feel like I'm not yet ready to be a mother and I just don't know if anyone's really ready to become a mother," she said.
"I don't know anybody that said, 'Okay, I'm ready. I'm doing this.' You know? I think, in my experience, everybody that I've ever talked to, they're like, 'It just happened.'"
Ending her video, she said, "We are a family now and as unconventional as this relationship and this child may have come from, I couldn't be happier. This is a blessing. I found my freedom in a way that I never expected..."
Gypsy just got released from prison in December after spending eight years behind bars for her involvement in the murder of her mom, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, in 2015.
When she got out of prison, she was already married to Louisiana teacher Ryan Anderson, whom she married in 2022 in a prison wedding ceremony. However, after her release, they split in March this year.
A month after their separation, she rekindled her romance with her ex, Urker, whom she met in prison. They were previously engaged before she tied the knot with Anderson.
