Prince Harry will one day permanently return to the U.K. alone but only after his children become adults and are able to freely travel with him, according to royal experts.

Prominent royal biographer Hugo Vickers recently told The Sun that he believes the Duke of Sussex will "come home" in the future without his wife Meghan Markle.

Asked for his prediction on where the Sussexes will be in 20 years, Vickers said, "I think [Harry will] come home. If he comes home, we must be very nice to him because he won't particularly want to. He's quite angry, I think."

"I personally think that he looks like he's petrified of losing her [Meghan] and looks slightly petrified of her," claimed the royal author, who co-wrote Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent's 2022 memoir, "A Royal Life."

His prediction received support from royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, who weighed in on Vickers' comments during an appearance on GB News.

She agreed with Vickers' suggestion that Prince Harry will likely return to his home country alone and on a permanent basis someday, but she emphasized that it won't happen anytime soon.

Schofield said she believes the duke would never leave his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's side while they're young.

"It would be in 20 years. Prince Harry is not going to leave his children alone in the United States of America. There is no way," Schofield told GB News hosts Isabel Webster and Eamonn Holmes.

Webster suggested that Prince Harry may choose to eventually return to the U.K. because he might be "lonely" in the U.S. without his family and friends and unable to truly get used to the culture there.

Schofield agreed with the host, noting that Prince Harry also has to deal with responsibilities that his royal staff previously handled for him.

The royal commentator pointed out that before he and Markle quit royal duties and moved to California in 2020, Prince Harry had people creating his schedule, "managing his day," and handling his finances.

"Now, he goes to bed every night with his head on the pillow, worrying about how he's going to pay the mortgage, how he's going to pay for security and his incredible PR team," Schofield claimed.

Since stepping back as a working royal, Prince Harry has returned to the U.K. several times but only for brief visits.

His most recent visit came in May when he attended the thanksgiving service for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games Foundation in London.

In contrast to the speculation surrounding his life in the U.S., Prince Harry said earlier this year that he has been loving living in his wife's home country.

"It's amazing," the royal told ABC News' Will Reeve in February. "I love every single day."

It also emerged in April that Prince Harry has officially moved his primary residence out of the U.K. and claimed the U.S. as his home.
