Daphne Joy Deletes Rape And Physical Abuse Claims Against 50 Cent Amid Defamation Lawsuit
An insider connected to Daphne Joy told 'TMZ' that she removed rape accusations she posted online in an effort to mend her relationship with her ex Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson for their son's benefit.
The rapper also reportedly deleted his posts about Daphne.
Daphne accused 50 Cent of rape amid his ongoing defamation lawsuit concerning that same post. His lawsuit was officially filed in May.
The model, who shares a son, Sire, with the "Wanksta" emcee, also accused him of physical abuse in an Instagram post on March 28.
The 37-year-old's post has now been removed from her official Instagram account. The exact timing and reason for the deletion remain unclear, but the post is no longer available.
Insiders connected to the matter told 'TMZ' that Daphne's decision to remove the post is unrelated to 50 Cent's lawsuit. They clarified that there has been no settlement between the pair, and the Starz television producer is continuing with legal action.
Daphne's rape allegation against 50 Cent came after she was named in Rodney "Lil' Rod" Jones' lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs. The mother of one was accused of being a "sex worker" for the Bad Boy Records founder. 50 Cent responded on Instagram with the caption: "I didn't know you was a sex worker, you little sex worker. LOL."
Subsequent to the "sex worker" allegation, the 49-year-old filed for full custody of their son. The court has not yet made a decision on this matter.
In response, Daphne, real name Daphne Joy Narvaez, fired back at 50 Cent with a post of her own, stating, "Let's put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me. You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on. You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father to preserve our family with these last and final false claims made against me. You have broken our hearts for the last and final time."
In a statement to 'Vibe,' 50 Cent called her allegations "disturbing," which required him "to take all necessary legal actions to protect my son Sire."
"The most recent false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son," he continued. "My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time."
