Barack Obama Nails Hilarious ‘Key & Peele' Skit While Greeting Team USA Olympic Basketball Team: ‘Hooper-In-Chief’
Comedians Key & Peele have hit the nail on the head as their comedy skit has come to life — once again.
Former Democratic President Barack Obama has gone viral unintentionally recreating a Key & Peele sketch while greeting the hoop stars of Team USA's basketball team.
The 44th president — known for his love of basketball and ability to shoot clean 3-pointers — is seen in a matching suit, enthusiastically greeting LeBron James, Steph Curry, Carmelo Anthony and others before casually and calmly shaking the hands of others.

"Alright...uhhh...it is true that I am the 'hooper-in-chief'," Obama, 62, said into the mic following his greeting. Social media drew the connection to the Key & Peele skit published three years ago.
'The Daily Mail' combined the comedy episode alongside the actual meet & greet footage, and the comparison does not disappoint. Jordan Peele takes on the role of Obama who casually code switches as he greets a lineup of supporters.
"Listen to that dap!" one TikTok user commented. "Why is this skit so accurate?" another user laughed. "Obama did this first then Key & Peele parodied it. This is just how he is LOL," a third laughed.
The 2024 USA Basketball Men's National Team was announced on April 17. The 12 athletes will compete in Paris during the Olympic Games July 26 through August 11.
Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, 45, starred in a 30-minute sketch series which lasted five seasons. The series included paradoies of the president to real-life satricial moments.
The duo have won a Peabody Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to Writers Guild Awards, NAACP Awards, and 16 Emmys. They ended the series citing their desire to "explore other things," per 'Project Casting.'
