In light of recent calls for Biden to consider stepping aside, a prominent donor revealed that a significant number of contributors who have generously supported the Biden-Harris campaign are now becoming increasingly vocal and critical. They are reportedly questioning the delay in party leadership's efforts to persuade Biden to withdraw from the ticket, 'CNBC' reports.

The purported frustration among the president's donors is palpable as they ponder why it is taking so much time for party officials to convince Biden, 81, of the necessity to consider suspending his campaign. According to a source, virtually all major donors are planning to cease funding Biden's reelection campaign, united in their belief that he cannot defeat Donald Trump in the November election.

According to 'CNBC,' entrepreneur and philanthropist Gideon Stein stated that even if Biden secures the nomination at next month's convention, he personally will not contribute another cent to Biden's campaign.

"If the president refuses to acknowledge the reality that he's now trailing worse in even more battleground states, and continues to dig in, we will focus our funding entirely on the House, Senate, and election machinery. I've heard the same message from a lot of others," the billionaire told 'TMZ.'

George Clooney's recent opinion piece in 'The New York Times' also urged Biden to consider stepping down just weeks after raising millions for his reelection.

Per 'CBS News,' a spokesperson for the Biden campaign stated that they raised $127 million in June. The campaign also said it entered July with $240 million across its committees with plans to increase their footprint.
