Washington D.C. police have charged two women for murder after they allegedly killed and dismembered a man witnesses called their "sugar daddy."

Tiffany Taylor Gray, 22, and Audrey Miller, 19, were taken into custody on separate occasions, per 'CBS News,' as authorities began the search for suspects in connection to the murder of Fasil Teklemariam.

The 53-year-old was found dead inside the bedroom of his apartment with multiple stab wounds in addition to a number of other injuries, including dismemberment, on April 5.

One of Teklemariam's many injuries was a missing right thumb, which, according to an affidavit for the arrest of Miller and Gray, happened around the time of his killing or death. Per the document, the two women are named in a list of five suspects.

The victim's apartment building released surveillance footage from the lobby proving that both suspects were there on the night he was slain, days before police discovered the body.

Police officials claimed that they found "evidence suggesting that cleaning agents had been used to conceal and/or eliminate evidence to conceal or obscure the actions of the suspect or suspects who had committed the offense," per the news outlet.

Three of the suspects — including Gray — were spotted wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks as they entered the building, in addition to their exit, but with bags and boxes in their possession.

Witnesses said in an interview with investigators that "they, referring generally to a group of involved people, cut the decedent's thumb off" and "also overheard something about the decedent being stabbed," the filings stated, per the news outlet.

Witnesses also claimed they observed Gray using the victim's missing thumb to steal from his account, allegedly paying for Ubers, alcohol, and other substances. Before his death, Teklemariam, a married father of two, reportedly had filed a theft report against Gray in relation to his then-lost phone and $1,600 in Cash App charges.

Both Gray and Miller are facing felony charges of first-degree armed murder in relation to Teklemariam's death.
