Chris Brown mocked and threatened to hit a man he claims is "impersonating" him on social media.

The angry comment Brown left on his lookalike's Instagram photo weeks ago resurfaced Friday after The Shade Room posted a screenshot of it on its page.

"It's lame as f**k impersonating me... [Y]ou look like you missing a chromosome," Brown commented around March on the photo originally posted in December 2023.

The singer went on to write in all-caps: "Be you my n***a... You could never be me! So stop it before I slap [the] s**t out [of] you."

The image was posted by a man who uses the Instagram handle @tigomgl and lists his name as Tigo Fariah on his bio.

In the photo, the Chris Brown lookalike rocked earrings, a necklace with large gems and a stud nose ring and sported facial hair and tattoos that added to his physical resemblance to the "Run It" hitmaker.

He captioned the snap, "Energia de cura, em mim," which reportedly translates in English to "healing energy on me" -- a lyric from the 2023 song "Angel Numbers / Ten Toes" from Brown's "11:11" album.

But Brown's comment seemingly backfired as it helped his doppelganger gain considerable attention on social media.

"All it did was make the guy more famous 'cause I didn't even know who he was," one person commented on The Shade Room's post.

"Well if I can't get Chris, I might as well try with the bootleg one," another joked.

Some social media users also mocked Brown for insulting the appearance of a man who looks like him, while others criticized the artist for making the "violent" comment following his multiple assault incidents and arrests.

"What [was] he supposed to do? Change the way he looks? Lmao," one user quipped, while another wrote, "Fighting with yourself is crazy work."

One critic opined, "This is why he'll never remove those violent narratives surrounding him."

"Chris himself keeps showing the violence...but his fans swear it's the haters," another claimed.

Another user agreed that the lookalike seemingly using his resemblance to Brown to promote himself was "lame" but claimed that the singer's decision to put him on blast was worse.

"It's lame...but it's more lame to even address it when you're a whole superstar... That's [going to] happen 100 more times... You [going to] fight everybody?" the user questioned.

But some sided with Brown and called the lookalike's actions "weird" and "too much."

"Yeah, it's weird to me for a grown man to go around pretending to be someone else... It's giving needs therapy," one person suggested.

"I'm with Chris on this one! It's one thing to just kind of naturally look like somebody but ole boy went out [of] his wayyy!! Peep the placement of his piercings and tats, even the hair cut and color. He [is] doing too much!" another commenter claimed.

"I don't think he's mad that he favors him; the guy is singing his songs and really impersonating him. When you're working hard to clean up your past image...the last damn thing you need is someone impersonating you. People with bad intentions will sort that man out just to plant him in spaces or situations to sabotage Chris," a third commenter speculated.
