Time magazine included at least 10 famous entertainers on its "100 Most Influential People in the World" list released this week.

TV personalities Stephen Colbert from "The Colbert Report" and Matt Lauer from the "Today Show" are among them.

"Because of how his humor works, the audience finds meaning through sustained inference, which is a lot more fun than it sounds," TIME writes about Colbert.

"Matt Lauer, 54,...He was still the smartest, the strongest, the classiest. How? Why? This is a guy who never gives up! Why? How? 'Cause he works his ass off and cares about everything he does," the magazine featured.

Actresses Claire Danes ("Homeland"), Chelsea Handler ("Chelsea Lately"), Jessica Chastain ("The Help," "The Tree of Life"), Kristen Wigg (SNL, "Bridesmaids"), Tilda Swinton ("We Need to Talk About Kevin") and Viola Davis ("The Help") were also in the list.

From the music field, pop star Rihanna and recent Grammy winner Adele were selected as one of the most "inspiring, entertaining and challenging people in the world."

Sports' superstars Jeremy Lin with the New York Knicks and Tim Tebow from the New York Jets also made up this year's Time 100.

Representing the latest in the fashion industry, Sarah Burton who created Kate Middleton's world famous wedding dress for his marriage to U.K.'s Prince William also made it to the top.
