King Charles Is ‘Extremely Sad’ And ‘Hurt’ Over William And Harry’s Ongoing Feud: Report
It appears that the ongoing feud between Prince William and Prince Harry has affected the king emotionally.
A prominent royal expert claims the monarch — still battling through cancer treatment — is caught in the middle of the Wales and Sussex camps since Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit royal life for California in 2020.
'The Mirror' reported that the king's true feelings about the former royals have recently been exposed, and are allegedly more complicated than the public might have expected.
According to the media outlet, the comments that Harry, 39, and Meghan have made since their departure from the United Kingdom has reportedly left King Charles "hurt" and struggling to make a decision on what to do next.
Published in 2024, Robert Hardman's book "Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story," detailed how the king is reportedly "determined" to "get on with life" after hearing the departed royal's perspectives.
"Of course, the King is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan but there is a sense of exasperation, that he has done what he can and now he is King, there are many more things to think about," the historian and author quoted from an inside source.
"He has tried listening. Now he just says: 'I don't want to know what the problem is. I'm just getting on with my life.' "
On Wednesday, King Charles III addressed the nation with plans to modernize border security, enhance economic growth, the cost of living, and wealth creation, reading a speech written by the Labour government he authorized.
After 74 years, the grand U.K. ceremony marks the start of a new parliament, per the news outlet, in addition to the laws the new government plans to embark on since the center-left Labour Party, Starmer, was elected in July.
