Pregnant Hailey Bieber Admits She’s 'Not Super Close' With Her Family After Building ‘Her Own' Tribe
Hailey Bieber admitted that she isn't as close with her family as she once was.
The model, who is currently pregnant with her first baby, told 'W Magazine' Tuesday that she's focusing on her new tribe, and is not close with her relatives, the Baldwins — which includes her father Stephen, sister Alaia, and uncle Alec Baldwin.
"I'm not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I'm very independent. I'm my own individual now, and I've built my own family," Hailey, 27, told the publication.

"I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories," she explained. "Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different."
Hailey added, per the media outlet, that despite coming from a famous family, she enjoyed a "fairly normal childhood." The socialite admitted to distancing herself from her family amid public altercations which have occurred with her relatives, including Alec's recently dismissed 'Rust' trial.
On July 12, three days after the start of his involuntary manslaughter trial, the case was tossed due to a new discovery of evidence after Alec's attorneys argued prosecutors had buried.
'Page Six' reported that her sister, 31-year-old Alaia, was arrested in Atlanta for simple assault, simple battery, and criminal trespassing after the she threw a used tampon at a bar employee while intoxicated.
The 'Rhode' founder also reportedly found herself "pissed" at her dad Stephen, 58, after he took to Instagram to ask for "prayers" for her and her husband of 5 years, Justin, after it was speculated the two had hit a rough patch in their relationship.
Hailey and Justin Bieber announced their pregnancy on Instagram, relaying the message from an open grassy field and romantic intimate photos. The two tied the knot back in 2018 at a New York City courthouse.
