Eddie Murphy's Friends Say He's 'Been Trained Well' As He Let's His New Wife Paige Butcher 'Call The Shots'
Eddie Murphy knows his place in his relationship.
Murphy and Paige Butcher tied the knot on July 9. The pair, who also shares two children together, started dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2018.
According to a 'Closer Magazine' source, Butcher "is calling the shots and Eddie doesn't seem to mind at all. He lets her rule."
"Paige insists he does his fair share of household chores and doesn't slink off to hide behind a computer when they want family time," the insider continued. "He just pays for everything and he's happy too. A happy wife is a happy life is the right slogan for Eddie these days."
Friends of Murphy's reportedly tease him lovingly for the yes-man he has become, especially because his behavior is contrary to his well-known personality as an attention getter and decision maker.
The insider also told the outlet that "it's a head-scratcher for his pals, but as long as Eddie's happy, they are happy. The kids may run amok, but Eddie's been trained well. Eddie's settled into domestic life quite pleasantly and wouldn't dream of changing a thing."

Unlike her now husband, Butcher strives to stay out of the true limelight, very rarely accepting interview appearances.
Murphy, born Edward Regan Murphy, was married twice before his union with Butcher. He wed Nicole Murphy, whom he shares five children with, in 1993, before divorcing due to "irreconcilable differences" in 2006.
In 2008, the 'Coming to America' actor exchanged vows with Tracey Edmonds, the ex-wife of superproducer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. They released a statement shortly after saying they opted out of a legal ceremony and will remain friends.
