Prince William Found It 'Easier To Slam The Door' On Harry Amid Royal Family Health Crisis: Royal Expert
Prince William is said to have remained firm in his choice to cut off relations with his younger sibling Prince Harry.
A royal commentator suggested William, 42, found it simpler to distance himself from Harry while managing the royal family during a health emergency.
The once close-knit brothers have reportedly been estranged since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal roles, and William is believed to prefer keeping their relationship that way.
"I have been saying this for months now — William pulled up the drawbridge and is not about to let it down for Harry anytime soon," royal expert Christopher Andersen shared with 'Fox News.'
"William not only expects loyalty from his brother on a very personal level, but he commands respect as the heir to the throne," Andersen continued. "That's just the kind of person the Prince of Wales is. He has always been brought up to believe, as his father did before him, that if the system is to work at all, he comes first after the king — simple as that."
Andersen suspects that William has found it simpler to sever ties with his brother Harry, 39, while overseeing palace matters, particularly during the ongoing health challenges affecting his wife, Kate Middleton, and his father, King Charles.
"It's just been so much easier for William," the royal expert began. "Facing the pressure of having to cope with his wife's, as well as his father's cancer diagnoses, to slam the door on Harry."
King Charles visited the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in April, his first public engagement since announcing his cancer diagnosis in February. Charles, 75, who was accompanied by Queen Camilla, connected with cancer patients receiving treatment.
The king reportedly sat with patients as he talked about the importance of early detection. Sharing a common struggle, he revealed a personal detail about his cancer journey, which made the patients feel a "personal connection" with the monarch.
